Arts-Based Investigation: A Brazilian Story

Abstract

Die hier berichtete Studie wurde von dem Forschungsteam "Formación Profesional en Salud" an der Centro Universitário Feevale (Novo Hamburgo, RS, Brasilien) durchgeführt. Ziel der Studie war es, mehr über die Lebensbedingungen von Kindern und Jugendliche aus der Nachbarschaft der Canudos-Siedlung in Erfahrung zu bringen, die an dem Programm "Sozialer Hallenfußball" teilnahmen, um auf dieser Grundlage Curricula für die Lehrer/innenausbildung weiterentwickeln zu können. Im Rahmen einer Kunst-basierten Methodologie wurden 17 Jungen aus der Nachbarschaft der Canudos-Siedlung, die an dem Programm teilnahmen, gebeten, in Form von Bildern zwei auf ihre Lebenssituation bezogene Fragen zu beantworten.: "Was magst du gerne?" und "Was magst du nicht?" Die folgende Analyse bezog sich auf 2 Kategorien und vier Subkategorien: a) Was ihnen gefällt: Fußball und Videospiele spielen; b) was ihnen missfällt: Gewalt und körperliche Hygiene. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass das Programm für die beteiligten positive Effekte zeitigt. Zugleich war erkennbar, dass insbesondere in Bezug auf Videospiele pädagogische Strategien erforderlich sind. Wir fanden auch heraus, dass sich die Kinder und Jugendlichen in diesem Programm in Gefährdungssituationen bewegen, die sie belasten. Hierzu gehört beispielsweise die Gefahr elektrischer Schläge durch schlechte Sanitäreinrichtungen und eine überhaupt eher ungenügende Stromversorgung.

This study was carried out by the "Professional Qualification in Healthcare" research team at the Centro Universitário Feevale (Novo Hamburgo, RS, Brazil). The aim of the study was to learn about the way the children and adolescents from the Canudos' neighborhood who take part in the "Social Indoor Soccer" program understand their living conditions, with the intention of developing teaching plans for training the teachers involved. Through an arts-based investigative methodology, a group of 17 boys who live in the neighborhood and participate in the program were asked to answer in the form of drawings two questions related to their living situations: "What do you like?" and "What do you not like?" The analysis had two categories and four subcategories, as follows: a) What they like: playing football and playing video games; b) what they don't like: violence and personal hygiene. There is a risk of electric shocks due to inadequate sanitary facilities, and poorly fitting electrical connections. The program has a positive effect on the children and adolescents.

Este trabajo presenta un estudio realizado por el grupo de investigación Formación Profesional en Salud del Centro Universitario Feevale (Novo Hamburgo/RS, Brasil). Su objetivo era conocer cómo interpretan los niños del barrio de Canudos que participan en el Programa Fútbol Sala Social, el contexto en el que viven con el objetivo de elaborar un programa didáctico de formación del profesorado para participar en programas sociales. La metodología se basó en las propuestas de investigación a través de las artes. Se pidió a 17 niños (7 a 11 años), que viven en el barrio Canudos y participan en el Programa Fútbol Sala Social, que representasen a través de dibujos lo que les gusta y lo que no les gusta del contexto en el que viven. El análisis de los dibujos se realizó a partir de dos categorías y cuatro subcategorías. Lo que les gusta del contexto en el que viven se refleja en los dibujos "jugar al fútbol" y "jugar con videojuegos". Lo que no les gusta es "la violencia" y "la higiene personal". El Programa se valoró positivamente para su aplicación a los niños. Es necesario planificar estrategias pedagógicas específicas para los contenidos de los videojuegos. Se constató que los participantes en el Programa viven de cerca situaciones de riesgo y que éstas, como demuestran sus dibujos, les incomodan. Debido a su precariedad, los servicios sanitarios presentan riesgos por su deficiente instalación eléctrica.
