The dissertation discusses the use of learning level diagnostics for literacy and basic education work. As those affected find it particularly hard to deal with text-based testing procedures, tests for determining learning needs should be designed in such a way as to avoid fear and resistance. The author examines the current state of learning level diagnostics from the viewpoint of students and analyses their action strategies. A more intimate understanding for the problems of adult functional illiterates in test situations may contribute to a better utilisation of the potential of learning level diagnostics.... view less

Die Dissertation diskutiert den Einsatz von Lernstandsdiagnostik in der Alphabetisierungs- und Grundbildungsarbeit. Da die Betroffenen es besonders schwer haben, schriftbasierte Testverfahren zu bewältigen, sollten Tests zur Ermittlung des Lernbedarfs so gestaltet werden, dass sie keine Ängste und Widerstände hervorrufen. Die Autorin betrachtet die lernstandsdiagnostische Situation aus der Sicht der Lernenden und analysiert deren Handlungsstrategien. Ein genaueres Verständnis für die Probleme von erwachsenen funktionalen Analphabeten in Testsituationen kann dazu beitragen, die Potenziale von Lerndiagnostik besser auszuschöpfen.... view less
