Validación de un cuestionario sobre formación docente para atender a la diversidad

Abstract

Although there are numerous studies linked to the analysis of the training needed by teachers to respond to student diversity, there are few valid and reliable instruments that allow us to assess the preparation required to do so from a broad and up-to-date perspective. Under these coordinates, the current study aims to analyse the psychometric characteristics of a questionnaire designed ad hoc and aimed at assessing the training needed to cater for an increasingly diverse student population. After designing and applying the instrument to a sample of 376 teachers, its reliability and validity are studied. For the reliability study, the internal consistency of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. For the validity analysis, we chose to calculate the content validity, using the technique of expert judgement in the field, and the construct validity, using factor analysis. The results obtained show that an instrument has been developed for the systematic and orderly collection of information from the target population, which is at the same time congruent, internally consistent, valid and highly reliable. In this sense, the instrument represents a valuable and up-to-date contribution to the scientific field in which it is framed.

Si bien son numerosos los estudios ligados al análisis de la formación que precisan los docentes para dar respuesta a la diversidad estudiantil, son escasos los instrumentos, válidos y fiables, que permiten valorar desde un enfoque amplio y actualizado la preparación requerida para ello. Bajo estas coordenadas, el presente estudio pretende analizar las características psicométricas de un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc y dirigido a valorar la formación necesaria para atender a una población estudiantil cada vez más diversa. Tras el diseño y aplicación del instrumento a una muestra de 376 docentes, se estudia su fiabilidad y validez. Respecto al estudio de la fiabilidad, la consistencia interna del cuestionario se ha calculado a partir del análisis del coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach. Para el análisis de la validez se ha optado por calcular la validez de contenido, recurriendo a la técnica de juicio de expertos en la materia, y la validez de constructo, realizando un análisis factorial. Los resultados obtenidos constatan que se ha elaborado un instrumento de recogida de información, sistemática y ordenada, de la población a la que va dirigido, que, a la vez, es congruente, tiene consistencia interna, es válido y altamente fiable. En este sentido, el instrumento constituye una aportación valiosa y actualizada en el ámbito científico en el que se enmarca.
