With the increased influx of asylum seekers since 2012, policymakers' and society's need for timely, reliable, and valid data on the newly arrived has increased. However, refugees are a vulnerable, hidden, and hard-to-reach population, which poses a variety of challenges to surveying them. The paper describes and compares the possibilities and limitations of different sampling methods. Mit dem erhöhten Zuzug von Asylsuchenden seit 2012 stieg der Bedarf von Politik und Gesellschaft an zeitnahen, reliablen und validen Daten über die neu Hinzugekommenen. Geflüchtete sind jedoch eine vulnerable, versteckte und schwer erreichbare Population, woraus sich eine Vielzahl von Herausforderungen für deren Befragung ergibt. Der Beitrag beschreibt und vergleicht die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen verschiedener Stichprobenziehungsverfahren.
