The European Union is a wide area that includes a large number of countries with different policies and regulations that need to be adjusted and coordinated with the main EU directives on labour law aimed at improving the flexibility and efficiency of the European labour market. The flexibility of the labour market affects economic growth and consequently employment and unemployment rates. The modern EU labour market tries to offer its participants more security, in keeping their workplace, as well as finding a new one. In accordance with previous research, with the aim of evaluation of the employment of people with different levels of education in flexible work arrangements in the observed EU member states, it is necessary to systematically explore and analyze the proportions of fixed-term employment and part-time employment of people with different levels of education in Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia. The research was conducted on EU LFS official dataset which was obtained on the account of RPP 35/2020-LFS3 project, approved by the European Commission and Eurostat. The data for the sample analysis was obtained under the project and was based on the sample of 3.718.209 subjects in the period from 2008 to 2018. The analysis included employed and unemployed people, between the age of 15 and 64, living in households in Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia. In the research part of the paper, a difference in proportions test was used, and SPSS and Statistica were used for statistical analysis. Based on an extensive analysis of data from selected EU member states, results have been obtained which indicate a clear difference between the proportions of employment in flexible work arrangements for people who are low-educated, middle-educated and highly educated.... view less
