Tagungsessay: Innen und Außen in Wissenssoziologie und Diskursanalyse

Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht bilanziert einige der zentralen Thesen und Diskussionen des im Sommer 2005 in Paris abgehaltenen deutsch-französischen Kolloquiums zu Stand und Perspektiven der Diskursforschung in Deutschland und Frankreich. In Frankreich geht die Diskursanalyse auf die strukturalistische Theoriebildung zurück, wie sie seit SAUSSURE im Kontext linguistischer Diskussionszusammenhänge entstand und von Theoretikern wie FOUCAULT, DERRIDA, ALTHUSSER und LACAN konkretisiert und fortgeschrieben wurde. Das diskursanalytische Feld ist in Frankreich heute durch etablierte sprachwissenschaftliche und linguistische Forschungszusammenhänge geprägt. In Deutschland hat sich die Diskursanalyse dagegen erst in den 1990er Jahren zu einem anerkannten Theorie- und Forschungsprogramm entwickelt – und dies vorwiegend in sozialwissenschaftlichen Diskussionskontexten. Vor diesem Hintergrund leistete das Kolloquium einen wichtigen Beitrag nicht nur zur Klärung der jeweiligen Grundannahmen von qualitativer Sozialforschung einerseits und der "französischen Schule" der Diskursanalyse andererseits, sondern auch zur theoretisch-reflexiven Einordnung und methodischen Systematisierung des vorhandenen Verfahrenspools und damit zur Klärung der Konturen des Felds der Diskursanalyse aus der Sicht der angesprochenen Zielgruppen beiderseits des Rheins.

The following report summarizes the discussions and a number of the central substantive points put forward by the participants of the Franco-German workshop—held in Paris during the summer of 2005—on recent developments and future perspectives of discourse related research in France and Germany. Discourse analysis in France can be traced back to structuralist theorizing as it has developed inside linguistics since SAUSSURE and further elaborated by theorists such as FOUCAULT, DERRIDA, ALTHUSSER and LACAN. Currently, the field is characterized by well established linguistic research networks and methodologies. Discourse analysis in Germany, in contrast, gained academic status only in the 1990s, and this was the case mainly in social science disciplines. Against this background, the workshop not only shed light on the respective underlying assumptions of German qualitative social science and the "French School" of discourse analysis, it also theoretically located and methodologically systematized the existed "pool of tools." The workshop thereby helped to clarify the contours of the field of discourse analysis from the perspectives of the respective target groups on both sides of the Rhine.

Este reporte resume las discusiones y puntos centrales señalados por los participantes del taller franco-alemán sobre los desarrollos recientes y perspectivas futuras de la investigación relacionada al discurso en Francia y Alemania, realizado en París durante el verano de 2005. Se puede hacer retrospectiva del análisis del discurso en Francia desde la teoría estructuralista tal cual fue desarrollada desde la lingüística desde SAUSSURE y luego elaborada por teóricos como FOUCAULT, DERRIDA, ALTHUSSER y LACAN. Actualmente, el campo se caracteriza por bien establecidas redes de investigación y metodologías lingüísticas. El análisis del discurso en Alemania, en contraste, alcanzó estatuto académico solo en la década de los 90´s principalmente en las disciplinas de la ciencia social. Desde este contraste, este taller no solo arrojó luz sobre los respectivos supuestos subyacentes de la ciencia social cualitativa alemana y la “escuela francesa” de análisis del discurso, sino que también localizó teóricamente y sistematizó metodológicamente el “conjunto de herramientas” existente. Por consiguiente, el taller ayudó a clarificar los contornos del campo del análisis del discurso desde las perspectivas de los respectivos grupos involucrados en ambos lados de río Rin.
