This research paper critically reviews the concept of positive journalism and its potential impact on promoting a healthy and happy society. Positive journalism, also known as solutions journalism or constructive journalism, is an emerging approach that aims to provide balanced news coverage by highlighting potential solutions and positive developments alongside traditional problem-focused reporting. The paper explores the theoretical foundations of positive journalism, examines empirical studies evaluating its effectiveness, and analyzes the implications and challenges associated with its implementation. Positive journalism has the potential to foster social progress, improve well-being, and engage audiences in constructive dialogue. However, limitations such as potential bias, ethical considerations, and the need for a broader systemic change within the media landscape are also discussed.
