The present process of convergence with Europe in creating a shared educational space provokes that the quality of higher education and the improvement of teaching excellence were considered as priority actions. Deepening and clarifying the elements that help to achieve it has become a focus of study. The paper we present tries to be a clear contribution in this direction, framed in a larger research conducted by academics from University of Granada and funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology within the Call of National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2004-2007, which aims to elaborate an online training program for university teachers from the study of expectations and needs expressed by them about the European area. This article focuses on the first stage of the research, aimed to build the data collection tool, describing the process of development and debugging of the ad hoc questionnaire according to criteria of validity and reliability.... weniger
