A new monitoring instrument based on surveys enables the measuring of long term poverty. It includes a variety of elements which allow a view on different facets of social exclusion. Notwithstanding the actual measurement reading, the French perceive a distinctly increased risk of poverty. This phenomenon can be attributed to the high degree of emotionalizing in the public discourse as well as to a change of poverty, which becomes manifest in the rejuvenation, feminization, urbanization and increasing poverty of employees.... view less
