(Autorenreferat)"Ecuador's new constitution declared the concept of Buen Vivir, of the Good Life, as a leading one. This article examines the concept from a feminist point of view, based on positions of care economy and feminist political economy. A socially and environmentally just society is examined by considering two radical changes in Buen Vivir: the new conceptual definition of work in a solidary economic system and the recognition of rights of the nature. The broad partizipation of the population is identified as a decisive utopian approach in the building and implementation of Buen Vivir. Even though, or solely because, the politics are not leading towards a reasonable implementation until now, the bottom-up transformational process is well underway." (author's abstract)},
