(Autorenreferat)... view less

"The participants have replied to specific questions in the context of the survey. The results that have been presented are a reflection of a range of opinions. Budget participants and future participants gave insights into the way in which the personal budget has been used since its introduction. With the introduction of the Budget Regulation of 2008, the legal basis of Book IX of the Social Code has been established. The principle of an autonomous organisation within one's own responsibility is firmly enshrined in the personal budget that is jointly provided by several funds. In this regard, the budget participant plays an active - at least activating - role. At the moment, a more far-reaching statement on the success of this form of assistance and the extent to which it is accepted cannot be made on the basis of this survey. To raise public awareness of the new concepts of care and to highlight their advantages compared with the traditional system of assistance will have to be the aim also in future. The contributions provide a basis for further discussions." (author's abstract)... view less
