'The essay shows how particularly with the totalitarian dictatorships of the 20th century, which had almost completely eliminated societal pluralism in favour of a certain formated society, the only remaining state parties took over important public functions. From this their resulted a complicated relationship to the state organization, which was characterized either by supremacy, partial eclipsing, mutual penetration, or competition, according to the respective particularities. Finally, there is looking for one important difference between the two state parties of NSDAP and SED, which is Adolf Hitler's personal rule, that Führergewalt (the Führer's power) beyond state and party which only with National Socialism was formulated as a constitutional theory.'
