'Das Internet hält zunehmend Einzug in die Kinderkulturwelt. Bisher existieren jedoch nur wenige Erkenntnisse darüber, welche Bedürfnisse und Interessen Kinder mit dem Medium verbinden. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt medienbezogene Zeichnungen in Verbindung mit anschließenden erzählgenerierenden Interviews als geeignete Verfahren vor, mit denen im Rahmen der qualitativen Kindheitsforschung subjektive Sinnstrukturen von Kindern in Bezug auf das Internet nachvollzogen werden können und die damit verbundene Konstitution von Bedeutung rekonstruierbar wird. Durch Fallvergleich und Fallkontrastierung generierte Sinn- und Bedeutungsbereiche (Kinderkulturen und Medienverbund, Kommunikation und Freunde, ästhetische Erfahrungen, Vertiefung eigener Interessen) werden aufgezeigt und im Zusammenhang mit (medien-)pädagogischen Ansätzen der letzten Jahre diskutiert.' 'While the Internet has increasingly become part of children's cultural world, little is as yet known about the needs and interests children invest in the medium. The present contribution proposes a combination of media-related drawings and subsequent interview-generated narratives as an adequate means, in the context of qualitative child research, of reconstructing children's subjective internet-related structures of meaning as well as their constitution of such meaning. By comparing and contrasting individual cases, certain domains of meaning emerge (children's cultures and media cooperation, communication and friends, aesthetic experience, commitment to individual fields of interest) that are discussed in the light of recent (media-oriented) pedagogical approaches.'
