Der Begriff multiple Prekarität beschreibt in aktuellen soziologischen Forschungen die soziale Position vieler Migrant:innen, die neu auf den Arbeitsmarkt und in die Betriebe kommen. Seine heuristische Qualität liegt darin, den Zusammenhang unterschiedlicher gesellschaftlicher Sphären als Gesamtheit der sozialen Reproduktion in den Blick zu nehmen. Dabei wird jedoch mitunter, wo multiple Prekarität nur deskriptiv verstanden wird, die Vulnerabilität von Migrierenden betont. In current sociological research, the term multiple precarity describes the social position of many migrants who are new to the labor market and to the workplace. Its heuristic quality lies in its ability to focus on the connection between different social spheres as the totality of social reproduction. However, where multiple precarity is only understood descriptively, the vulnerability of migrants is sometimes involuntarily emphasized.
