Review Essay: Schwankende Gestalten drücken die Schulbank. Subjektanalyse im Anschluss an Andreas Reckwitz

Abstract

In his book "Subjectivity," Andreas RECKWITZ interprets the work of a series of structuralist and poststructuralist authors in relation to the analysis of subjectivity. In the following article I reconstruct this interpretation and attempt to critically analyze the empirical explanatory power of these authors. An excerpt from the school routine of a German class is used to show how these various "subject-theoretical analysis strategies" may lead to different, interesting, and insightful interpretations. It also becomes clear that the idea of subjectivity, and therefore of education and maturity, cannot be abandoned. Without this idea, the application of pedagogy would be cynical, and the ability to understand it impossible.

En su libro "Subjetividad", Andreas RECKWITZ interpreta el trabajo de una serie de autores estructuralistas y postestructuralistas con relación al análisis de la subjetividad. En este artículo reconstruyo esta interpretación e intento analizar críticamente el poder explicativo empírico de esos autores. Se usa un extracto de rutina escolar proveniente de una clase de alemán para mostrar la forma en que esas diversas "estrategias de análisis teórico-subjetivo" pueden llevar a diferentes, interesantes y brillantes interpretaciones. También resulta claro que la idea de subjetividad, y por consiguiente de educación y madurez, no puede abandonarse. Sin esta idea, la aplicación de la pedagogía sería cínica y la habilidad para comprenderla, imposible.

Der Kulturwissenschaftler Andreas RECKWITZ beschäftigt sich in seinem Buch mit dem Titel "Subjekt" dergestalt mit einer Reihe von strukturalistischen bzw. poststrukturalistischen Autor/innen, dass er ihre Werke als Beiträge zu einer Analyse des Subjekts in der Moderne interpretiert. In dem vorliegenden Aufsatz werden nun nicht nur diese Interpretationen in groben Zügen wiedergegeben, sondern es wird auch der Versuch unternommen, ihre die Empirie aufschließende "Kraft" zu "prüfen". In dem Bezug auf einen Ausschnitt aus dem Alltag der Schule, einer Unterrichtsstunde im Fach Deutsch, zeigt sich, wie diese unterschiedlichen "subjekttheoretischen Analysestrategien" zu jeweils anderen, interessanten und aufschlussreichen Interpretationen führen können. Darüber hinaus wird aber auch deutlich, dass auf die Vorstellung von Subjektivität – und damit auch von Bildung und Mündigkeit – nicht verzichtet werden kann. Ohne diese Vorstellung wäre die pädagogische Praxis zynisch – und ihr Verständnis unmöglich.
