The article pursues the question of how solidarity between white and non-white people can be possible in the face of centuries of dehumanization of non-white life. It focuses on the construction of whiteness as supposedly 'superior' and the question of how whiteness can be unlearned. The authors base their reflections on the philosophical concept Ubuntu, in order to clarify what would be necessary to escape from this deep imbalance back to a humanity that is not subject to hierarchization.... view less

Der Beitrag verfolgt die Frage, wie Solidarität zwischen weißen und nichtweißen Menschen angesichts jahrhunderterlanger Entmenschlichung nicht-weißen Lebens möglich sein kann. Es steht die Konstruktion von Weißsein als vermeintlich 'überlegen' im Fokus und die Frage, wie Weißsein verlernt werden kann.
