Abstract

Der zum 65. Geburtstag des St. Gallener Organisationsforschers Emil WALTER-BUSCH vorgelegte Sammelband ist transdisziplinär angelegt. Neben der Diskussion aktueller Theorien zum Charakter von Organisationen werden die internationale Managementforschung sowie Ansätze zum Wandel von Organisationen vorgestellt und bewertet. Eingebunden sind diese Beiträge in die Reflexion des sozialwissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisfortschritts. Besonders gelungen an diesem Band, der für die Organisationsforschung genauso interessant ist wie für die Wissens- und Wissenschaftssoziologie, ist, dass er nicht nur die Arbeiten von Emil WALTER-BUSCH immer wieder aufgreift und weiterführt, sondern auch den "Geist" seiner Art wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens spürbar werden lässt.

This transdisciplinary anthology was published on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Emil WALTER-BUSCH, an organization scientist from St. Gallen, Switzerland. Alongside discussions of current theories about the character of organizations, the collection introduces and evaluates international management research as well as approaches to organizational change. All the articles are embedded in a reflexive approach to the production of social-scientific knowledge. This anthology, as interesting for organization researchers as for sociologists of knowledge and science, is particularly successful in not only taking up and developing the thoughts of Emil WALTER-BUSCH but also in capturing the spirit of his scientific work.

Esta antología transdisciplinaria se publicó con ocasión del cumpleaños 65 de Emil WALTER-Busch, un científico de la organización de St. Gallen, Suiza. Junto a los debates de las actuales teorías sobre el carácter de las organizaciones, la colección presenta y evalúa la gestión internacional de la investigación, así como enfoques para el cambio organizacional. Todos los artículos participan de una aproximación reflexiva a la producción de conocimiento científico-social. Esta antología, en tanto que interesante para los investigadores de la organización y loa sociólogos del conocimiento y la ciencia, es particularmente exitosa no sólo por el acceso y el desarrollo de las ideas de Emil WALTER-Busch, sino también por capturar el espíritu de su trabajo científico.
