Der Beitrag fragt nach unterschiedlichen Rollenerwartungen, die innerhalb des StartupÖkosystems an Gründerinnen und Gründer gestellt werden, und verknüpft dafür die Role Congruity Theory (RCT) mit der Expectancy Violations Theory (EVT). Über 12 leitfadengestützte Interviews mit Investor*innen und Medienschaffenden erheben wir geschlechtsspezifische Rollenerwartungen, prüfen dann, ob diese von den Gründerinnen erfüllt werden und schließlich, inwieweit rollen(in)kongruentes Verhalten belohnt oder sanktioniert wird. The paper investigates different role expectations for female and male founders within the startup ecosystem by linking Role Congruity Theory (RCT) with Expectancy Violations Theory (EVT). Through 12 guided interviews with investors and journalists, we identify genderspecific role expectations, then examine whether these are fulfilled by female founders, and finally, to what extent role (in)congruent behavior is rewarded or sanctioned.
