Aus der mangelnden digitalen Kompetenz von (Berufsschul)Lehrkräften, Lehramtsstudierenden und Schüler:innen ergibt sich ein "digitaler Teufelskreis". Der Autor entwickelt, erprobt und evaluiert in seiner Dissertation aus einem Design-Based Research Ansatz ein Konzept für ein Onlineseminar innerhalb der beruflichen Lehramtsausbildung an der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. Zentraler Baustein des Seminars ist die Eigenproduktion von Erklärvideos, die digitale Kompetenzen niedrigschwellig fördert und zur Sensibilisierung für das Thema Digitalisierung im Handlungsfeld Schule beiträgt. Aus den Ergebnissen der praxisbezogenen Studie im Kontext des Studienstandorts Gießen leitet der Autor allgemeine Gelingensbedingungen und Handlungsempfehlungen für die digitalisierungsbezogene Professionalisierung angehender Berufsschullehrkräfte ab.... view less

Digitalisation affects all areas of modern society and poses all individuals new challenges. It is therefore necessary to generate new competences in order to enable active participation in a digitalised society. A central aspect here is the promotion of digital competences of prospective (vocational) teachers in order to prepare learners for a digital working and lifeworld, something which currently does not take place to a sufficient degree. This research work explains the current situation with the help of the "digital vicious circle", which needs to be broken. The aim of the research work is therefore to develop, test and evaluate a didactic design for the promotion of digital competences in vocational teacher training in order to derive conditions for success and recommendations for action. The didactic design identifies the self-production of explanatory videos as a central building block. The work addresses highly topical research desiderata as well as urgent educational policy needs for action to implement digitalisation at universities. Applying the methodological design of the Design-Based-Research study, which is exemplarily carried out on the study programmes of the vocational teaching profession (BBB) at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen, the research work pursues an action- and practice-oriented objective that is implemented in cooperative research contexts. Through three iterative development cycles, a total of 39 conditions for success and recommendations for action for low-threshold promotion of digital competences in formal online teaching and learning scenarios of vocational teacher training, which can be used by university teachers for orientation in digital competence promotion, are generated.... view less
