Sozialforschung ist häufig durch verschiedene Herausforderungen im Verhältnis von Forschenden und Beforschten geprägt. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Herausarbeitung zentraler Dilemmata am Beispiel der Forschung zu trans* Personen. Daran anknüpfend werden neben einer theoretischen Rahmung mit Spivaks strategischem Essenzialismus Umgangsweisen mit diesen forschungsfeldimmanenten Spezifika aufgezeigt. Zentrale Erkenntnis ist dabei, dass sich die skizzierten Dilemmata nicht auflösen lassen und gerade deshalb einer reflektierten, bewussten und normativen Auseinandersetzung, eines solidarischen Forschens bedürfen.... view less

Social research is often characterized by various challenges in the relationship between researchers and research subjects. The aim of this article is to work out central dilemmas using the example of research on trans*people. Following on from this, as well as providing a theoretical framing based on Spivak‘s strategic essentialism, the article shows up ways of dealing with these specifics inherent to the research field. The key insight here is that the dilemmas outlined cannot be resolved and therefore require a reflective, conscious and normative examination, that is research based on solidarity.... view less
