Das Buch von Daphne M. KEATS führt in die Praxis des Interviewens ein, indem zunächst verschiedene Arten von Interviews vorgestellt werden. Daran anschließend werden Schritt für Schritt wichtige Aspekte des Interviewens und mögliche Probleme im Interviewverlauf besprochen. In der vorliegenden Rezension angesprochene Kritikpunkte dieser Darstellung sollen keinesfalls die Nützlichkeit des Buches in Frage stellen, sondern sie werden eher als Vorschläge für eventuelle künftige Überarbeitungen verstanden: Denn auch wenn KEATS selbst darauf hinweist, dass es nicht möglich ist "in a book of this scope to cover all kinds of interviews and all levels of interviewing skill" – das Buch ist sorgfältig konzipiert und ein wertvoller Wegweiser für alle, die sich für die Praxis des Interviewens interessieren.

KEATS' book "Interviewing: A practical guide for students and professionals" introduces interviewing and covers aspects such as why and what type of interviews can be used, before providing the reader with a step-by-step guide of what the important features are when interviewing and the difficulties that can be encountered. KEATS' book was considered to be extremely valuable and any criticisms made, were mere suggestions for future improvement. As KEATS said herself "It is not possible in a book of this scope to cover all kinds of interviews and all levels of interviewing skill", however this book has been thought out very carefully and is an excellent guide for any reader who is interested in interviewing.

El libro de KEATS Interviewing: A practical guide for students and professionals presenta el entrevistar y cubre aspectos como, porque y que tipo de entrevista pueden ser usadas, proveyendo previamente al lector una guia paso-a-paso de cuales son los aspectos importantes cuando se entrevista, y las dificultades que pueden ser encontradas. Hemos considerado al libro de KEATS como muy valioso y solo podemos hacer meras recomendaciones para futuras revisiones. Como el mismo KEATS dice "No es posible en un libro panorámico, cubrir todo tipo de entrevistas y todos los niveles de herramientas de entrevistas" sin embargo este libro ha sido concebido cuidadosamente y es una guia excelente para cualquier lector interesado en entrevistas.
