The protracted trade war between China and the United States impacts geopolitics. It is important to contextualize it within the framework of China's economic development. The offshoring of production and the evolution of supply chains, driven by technological advances, have transformed China's relationship with the West from ally to competitor. The emergence of the "Belt and Road Initiative" (BRI) in 2013, aimed at creating a global network of trade routes, has introduced new dynamics and challenges in global cooperation. In turn, the United States as a response, perhaps belatedly, proposes the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and the Economic Prosperity Partnership of the Americas (APEP). La prolongada guerra comercial entre China y Estados Unidos impacta la geopolítica. Es importante contextualizarla en el marco del desarrollo económico de China. La deslocalización de la producción y la evolución de las cadenas de suministro, impulsadas por avances tecnológicos, han transformado la relación de China con Occidente, pasando de aliado a competidor. El surgimiento de la "Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta" (BRI) en 2013, destinada a crear una red global de rutas comerciales, ha introducido nuevas dinámicas y desafíos en la cooperación global. A su vez, Estados Unidos como respuesta, tal vez tardía, propone el Corredor Económico India-Oriente Medio-Europa (IMEC) y la Alianza para la Prosperidad Económica de las Américas (APEP).
