El presente volumen contiene siete capítulos, estructurados como se detalla a continuación. En el capítulo 1 se da cuenta de las tendencias de largo plazo, que permiten entender el momento actual y los desafíos. En el capítulo 2 se muestran algunos atributos fundamentales del sistema educativo y se hace un análisis descriptivo de las principales variables asociadas al acceso, el tránsito, la conclusión y los logros de aprendizaje de los estudiantes, siempre de la educación básica regular del Perú. En el capítulo 3, en cambio, se plantean los principales atributos de la fuerza laboral docente y de gestión (directores), utilizando la Encuesta Nacional Docente y la Encuesta Nacional de Instituciones Educativas del 2014. El análisis de la inversión en materia educativa - recursos públicos y de las familias - se resume en el capítulo 4. En el capítulo 5 se traslada el análisis de las variables antes presentadas como agregados nacionales a la revisión de disparidades vinculadas al sexo de los estudiantes, la gestión de los servicios educativos, el área geográfica, la lengua materna y el nivel socioeconómico de los hogares. En el capítulo 6 se plantea un análisis comparado de las políticas educativas prevalecientes en el país durante los últimos veinticinco años. Finalmente, en el último capítulo se proponen reflexiones finales e ideas orientadas a identificar desafíos y posibles derroteros del desarrollo de la educación básica.... view less

This volume contains seven chapters, structured as follows. Chapter 1 provides an account of long-term trends, which allow us to understand the current situation and the challenges. Chapter 2 shows some fundamental attributes of the education system and provides a descriptive analysis of the main variables associated with access, transit, completion and learning achievement of students, always in regular basic education in Peru. Chapter 3, on the other hand, presents the main attributes of the teaching and management (principals) workforce, using the National Teacher Survey and the 2014 National Survey of Educational Institutions. The analysis of educational investment - public and family resources - is summarized in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 moves the analysis of the variables previously presented as national aggregates to the review of disparities linked to student gender, educational services management, geographic area, mother tongue and household socioeconomic level. Chapter 6 presents a comparative analysis of the educational policies prevailing in the country during the last twenty-five years.
