Abstract

Beate KRAIS' und Gunter GEBAUERs Buch führt auf eine sehr verständliche Weise in das von Pierre BOURDIEU entwickelte Konzept des Habitus ein. Habitus ist der zentrale Begriff im gesamten Werk BOURDIEUs, welcher bemüht ist, den Menschen als vergesellschaftetes Subjekt zu beschreiben. Anders als der ältere Begriff der sozialen Rolle ist der Habitus als ein generatives Prinzip zu denken, das sowohl an der (Re-) Produktion sozialer Strukturen beteiligt ist als auch diese Strukturen verinnerlicht und inkorporiert hat.

Beate KRAIS and Gunter GEBAUER's book introduces Pierre BOURDIEU's developed concept of habitus in an easily comprehended way. Habitus is the central idea in all of Pierre BOURDIEU's work, in which he attempts to describe and depict the human being as an over-socialized entity. As opposed to the former idea of social role, habitus is to be perceived and understood as a generative principle. This principle involves the (re)production of social structures as well as internalizing and incorporating them.

El libro de Beate KRAIS y Gunter GEBAUER introduce en una manera fácilmente comprensible el concepto de habitus desarrollado por Pierre Bordieu. Habitus es la idea central en toda la obra de Bordieu, en la cual el intenta describir y representar la naturaleza humana como una entidad sobre socializada. En oposición a la vieja idea de rol social, habitus debe ser percibido y comprendido como un principio generativo. Este principio implica tanto la re-producción de las estructuras sociales, así como su internalización e incorporación.
