Todo individuo, al tomar decisiones económicas, debe evaluar distintas opciones con resultados inciertos que afectarán su bienestar en diferentes momentos en el tiempo. A partir del encuentro entre la Economía teórica y la experimental, este documento estima las preferencias ante el riesgo y de consumo intertemporal de los trabajadores peruanos. Los autores contribuyen de dos maneras: estudian cómo los trabajadores toman decisiones considerando el rol de los incentivos de manera "racional" - solo siendo guiados por el beneficio económico - y también el de los factores conductuales que influyen en las decisiones - como la falta de atención, la capacidad cognitiva y la inestabilidad de las preferencias.... view less

Every individual, when making economic decisions, must evaluate different options with uncertain results that will affect their well-being at different moments in time. Based on the meeting between theoretical and experimental economics, this document estimates the risk and intertemporal consumption preferences of Peruvian workers. The authors contribute in two ways: they study how workers make decisions considering the role of incentives in a "rational" way - only being guided by economic benefit - and also that of behavioral factors that influence decisions - such as lack of attention, cognitive ability, and preference instability.... view less
