Neben der hybriden Kombination aus Homeoffice und Präsenz ist die gänzlich ortsungebundene Arbeit verbreiteter denn je. Dies führt zu neuen Möglichkeiten der Lebensführung. Besonders das digitale Nomadentum, die Verbindung eines grenzenlosen Arbeits- und Lebensstils, hat einen Aufschwung erfahren. In diesem Beitrag soll daher am Beispiel der digitalen Nomad*innen diskutiert werden, wie sich Ortsunabhängigkeit von Erwerbspersonen auf gesellschaftliche Solidaritätsbeziehungen auswirken kann. Auf Grundlage der Unterscheidung des administrativen und identitär-partikularen Solidaritätsmodus (Schnabel 2020) wird dargelegt, wie Ortsunabhängigkeit diskursiv und strategisch als Exit innerhalb des wohlfahrtsstaatlichen Solidaritätsgefüges verhandelt und genutzt wird und in welchem Ausmaß hieraus neue partikulare Solidargemeinschaften entstehen.... view less

Alongside combinations of working from home and in office, location-independent working arrangements are more common than ever. The spatial reconfiguration of work enables new lifestyle possibilities. Digital nomadism, meaning the combination of a boundless work and lifestyle, has experienced a surge in popularity. In this article, I will therefore use the example of digital nomads to discuss how location-independence can affect social solidarity relationships. I draw on the distinction between an administrative and identitarian-particular mode of solidarity (Schnabel 2020) to show how location independence is strategically and discursively framed as an exit within the welfare state and to what extent new particular communities emerge from this.... view less
