Grounded Action: Achieving Optimal and Sustainable Change

Abstract

Grounded Action ist eine Anwendung und Erweiterung der Grounded Theory mit dem Ziel, Interventionen, Programme, Handlungsmodelle etc. zu entwerfen und zu implementieren. Der Grounded Action-Ansatz wurde konzipiert, um der Komplexität und Multidimensionalität von organisatorischen und sozialen Problemstellungen angemessen begegnen zu können. Die Grounded Theory als Strategie der datengegründeten Theorieentwicklung wird insoweit ausgeweitet, als es im Rahmen von Grounded Action um das Entwickeln von – ebenfalls datengegündeten und systematisch aus der Grounded Theory abgeleiteten – Handlungsstrategien geht.

Grounded action is the application and extension of grounded theory for the purpose of designing and implementing practical actions such as interventions, program designs, action models, social and organizational policies, and change initiatives. Grounded action was designed by the authors to address the complexity and multi-dimensionality of organizational and social problems and issues. It extends grounded theory beyond its original purpose of generating theory that is grounded in data by providing a means of developing actions that are also grounded (systematically derived from a grounded theory).

La acción fundamentada es la aplicación y extensión d ela teoría fundamentada con el propósito de diseñar e implementar acciones prácticas tales como intervenciones, diseño de programas, modelos de acción, políticas organizacionales y sociales e iniciativas de cambio. La acción fundamentada fue diseñada por los autores para manejar la complejidad y la multidimensionalidad de asuntos y problemas sociales y organizacionales. Amplía la teoría fundamentada mas allá de sus propósitos originales de generar teoría que se fundamente en los datos al proporcionar medios para desarrollar acciones que están también fundamentadas (derivadas sistemáticamente de una teoría fundamentada).
