Tagungsbericht: Workshop "Diskurs – Wissen – Kultur" / Praxis-Workshop "Diskursanalyse

Abstract

Der – analog zu zwei vorangegangenen Tagungen in den Jahren 1999 und 2000 – vom Augsburger/Münchener Arbeitskreis Diskursanalyse und der DGS-Sektion Wissenssoziologie veranstaltete Workshop "Diskurs – Wissen – Kultur" verfolgte in theoretischer und methodischer Hinsicht die Frage nach dem Zusammenhang von Diskursen, der gesellschaftlichen (Re-) Produktion von Wissen und der Bedeutung von Kultur. Insbesondere ging es dabei um die Auseinandersetzung mit Ansätzen und Entwicklungen, die für oder gegen eine Vermittlung zwischen der französischen Tradition von Diskursanalyse (entlang und in Fortführung der FOUCAULTschen Perspektive) und aktueller Beiträge zur Wissenssoziologie in Deutschland sprechen. Der zweite Themenschwerpunkt der Veranstaltung richtete sich auf die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen angewandter Diskursforschung, wobei verschiedene Beiträge der Teilnehmer/innen insbesondere auch praktische Probleme bei der Durchführung und Ergebnispräsentation von Diskursanalysen ins Zentrum rückten. Dem entsprechend bot der zweite Workshop im Juni 2004 die Möglichkeit zur gemeinsamen Diskussion von laufenden Forschungsprojekten der Teilnehmer/innen, um so die eigenen theoretischen Positionen, methodologischen Fundamente und methodischen Herangehensweisen prüfen und absichern zu können.

The first interdisciplinary workshop in 2003—like two other meetings before in 1999 and 2000 organized by the Augsburg- and Munich-based working group on discourse analysis in cooperation with the section sociology of knowledge in the German Society of Sociology—focused on theoretical and methodological interconnections between discourse theory, social (re-) production of knowledge and the role of cultural frames. The major aim was on unraveling the implications of the French discourse tradition for the ongoing German debate about discourse analysis and theory, especially considering possible links or barriers between a (post-) FOUCAULDIAN perspective and actual contributions to sociology of knowledge. A second focus was centered about chances and limitations of applied discourse research and analysis in various fields of practice. Continuing participants' statements and reports concerning methodological and practical problems in doing discourse analysis and presenting the findings the second workshop in June 2004 opened up an interdisciplinary forum to discuss ongoing research projects. By this the meeting gave the chance to prove and ensure adequate theoretical positions as well as methodological basics and methods for the participants' own projects.

El primer taller interdisciplinario realizado en 2003 (así como otras dos reuniones anteriores en 1999 y 2000 organizadas por Augsburg y Munich, en cooperación con la sección de sociología del conocimiento de la Sociedad Alemana de Sociología y fundadas en el trabajo de grupo sobre análisis del discurso) se centró en las interconexiones teóricas y metodológicas entre la teoría del discurso, la (re)producción social del conocimiento y el papel de los marcos culturales. El principal objetivo fue desentrañar las implicaciones de la tradición francesa en el actual debate alemán sobre la teoría y el análisis del discurso, considerando especialmente los posibles eslabones o barreras entre una perspectiva (post-) FOUCAULTIANA y las contribuciones en boga de la sociología del conocimiento. Un segundo objetivo se centró en las posibilidades y limitaciones de la investigación aplicada del discurso y el análisis en varios campos prácticos. Continuando las aseveraciones de los participantes y los reportes sobre problemas metodológicos y prácticos al hacer análisis del discurso y presentar los hallazgos, el segundo taller de junio 2004 abrió un foro interdisciplinario para discutir proyectos de investigación en curso. De este modo, la reunión permitió demostrar y fortalecer las posiciones teóricas adecuadas así como las bases metodológicas y métodos de los propios proyectos de los participantes.
