Abstract

In dem im Frühjahr 1998 geführten Interview beschreibt Maya NADIG ihren Werdegang als Ethnologin und Psychoanalytikerin. Sie rekapituliert ihre frühen ethnopsychoanalytischen Forschungen in Mexiko und im Zürcher Oberland und die Bedeutung der Gegenübertragung im Forschungsprozess. Eine große Bedeutung spielen im Gespräch erkenntnistheoretische Fragen. Maya NADIG plädiert für eine konstruktivistische Perspektive in der Psychoanalyse und den Sozialwissenschaften, die zu einer Befreiung aus überkommenen und hemmenden Denkweisen und Ordnungskategorien führt.

In an interview conducted in autumn 1998 (and revised for this publication by the interviewee), Maya NADIG describes how she became an ethnologist and psychoanalyst. She reflects on her early ethnopsychoanalytical research in Mexico and in the Zurich Oberland (Switzerland) and on the role of counter transference in the research process. Epistemological issues play a central role in the conversation: Maya NADIG pleads for a constructionist perspective in psychoanalysis and in the social sciences that would help overcome the constraints of traditional modes of thought and thought categories.

En esta entrevista dada en la primavera del 1998 Maya Nadig describe su formación como antropóloga y psicoanalista. Cuenta de sus primeras investigaciones etnopsicoanalíticas en México y en los alrededores de Zürich y de la importancia de la contratransferencia en el proceso de investigación. Las preguntas epistemológicas juegan un papel importante en la plática pues Maya NADIG favorece una vinculación entre las posiciones constructivistas y el psicoanálisis que permite superar las formas establecidas de un pensamiento categórico y dualístico que nos impide reconocer la multiplicidad y complejidad de los procesos culturales.
