Abstract

Das vorliegende Buch "Interpretative Sozialforschung. Eine Einführung" von Gabriele ROSENTHAL beleuchtet die Methoden und Herkunft der interpretativen Sozialforschung. Dabei kommt – entsprechend des Arbeitsgebiets der Autorin – der Biografieforschung ein starkes Gewicht zu. Die Autorin stellt die Wurzeln der interpretativen Sozialforschung von der Chicagoer Schule, der verstehenden Soziologie bis zur Grounded Theory Methodologie dar. ROSENTHAL stellt die teilnehmende Beobachtung und das narrative Interviews als Hauptmethoden der interpretativen Sozialforschung vor. Zudem werden die Durchführung von Fallrekonstruktionen, Inhaltsanalysen und weitere relevante Auswertungsansätze besprochen. Ausführliche Beispiele ergänzen die Darstellung. Allerdings wirkt die Zusammenstellung nicht ganz vollständig und sehr auf den Arbeitsbereich der Autorin beschränkt.

ROSENTHAL presents participant observation and narrative interviews as the main methods of interpretative social research. Although she also talks about case reconstruction, qualitative content analysis, and other relevant forms of analysis, the book's focus on biographical research—the author's area of interest—means the overall picture appears incomplete .

ROSENTHAL presenta a la observación participante y a las entrevistas narrativas como los métodos centrales de la investigación social interpretativa. Aunque también aborda la reconstrucción del caso, el análisis cualitativo de contenido y otras formas relevantes de análisis, el foco del libro es la investigación biográfica, área de interés del autor, lo cual significa que el resultado general es incompleto.
