Abstract

Das Buch Online-Communities als soziale Systeme. Wikis, Weblogs und Social Software im E-Learning von DITTLER, KINDT und SCHWARZ diskutiert den Einsatz neuer, kollaborativer Anwendungen für die Lehre und den Unterricht an Universitäten und Schulen. Es ist eine gut lesbare, an exemplarischen Fällen orientierte Momentaufnahme von Online-Communities aus der Perspektive der mitteleuropäischen E-Learning-Szene. Dabei steht die Frage im Mittelpunkt, ob – und wenn ja wie – neue Online-Plattformen bzw. -Communities neue Formen der Wissensvermittlung und des Lernens ermöglichen, bzw. ob es zu Konflikten zwischen freien und institutionellen Formen kommt. Dass Konflikte entstehen, wird von den empirischen Ergebnissen teilweise gestützt: Institution und freier, informeller Charakter der Anwendungen stehen sich teilweise im Weg.

The authors summarize online communities from the perspective of German-speaking E-Learning researchers. The core questions under debate are whether, and how, new online platforms and communities will promote new forms of knowledge transfer and learning, and if there is a clash between free and institutionalized forms of learning. The empirical results presented here show that conflicts exist and that these arise through the use of social software in hierarchical organizations.

El libro Online-Communities as Social Systems: Wikis, Weblogs and Social Software in E-Learning de DITTLER, KINDT y SCHWARZ discute sobre la práctica de las nuevas aplicaciones colaborativas para el aprendizaje y la enseñanza en la escuela y las universidades. Los autores resumen las comunidades en línea desde la perspectiva de investigadores germanoparlantes de la enseñanza electrónica. Las preguntas centrales del debate son si las nuevas plataformas y comunidades en línea promoverán nuevas formas de transferencia del conocimiento y de aprendizaje, y cómo lo harán, y si hay enfrentamiento entre formas libres e institucionalizadas de enseñanza. Los resultados empíricos muestran que los conflictos existen y surgen por el uso del software social en las organizaciones jerárquicas.
