Influenced by the women's movement, they developed collective forms of work. The conditions and possibilities of gender studies have since changed and many feminist science and technology studies scholars are no longer organizing themselves in such working groups, although they still work within feminist science and technology studies. Based on the example of select working groups, this article recalls the early working groups and their approaches. It is argued that feminist science and technology studies scholars are increasingly situating themselves within academia and are adopting a less revolutionary, more academic, subject position, while still aiming to transform science and technology.... view less
