Ausgehend von der Frage, wie Kinder unter drei Jahren ihren Alltag in Kinderkrippen verbringen und (mit)gestalten, werden im vorliegenden Beitrag unter Einbezug einer praxistheoretischen Agency-Perspektive kindliche Spielarrangements in diesem institutionellen Kontext beleuchtet. Die Ethnografie als Forschungsstrategie ermöglicht es hierbei, den Verlauf und die körperliche Koordination von Spielarrangements von unter Dreijährigen in situ teilnehmend zu beobachten, zu erfassen und ihre Praktiken zum Gegenstand der Analyse zu machen. Anhand ausgewählter Protokollausschnitte werden Peerinteraktionen analysiert und so Erkenntnisse im Hinblick auf kindliche Spielarrangements der Kinder in Bezug auf beobachtbare Handlungsmöglichkeiten aber auch Begrenzungen relational dazu herausgearbeitet.... view less

Based on the question of how children spend and participate in their everyday life in crèches, the present article examines children's play arrangements, considering practical-theoretical agency. Ethnography as a research strategy allows to observe and record the course of play arrangements of under three-year-old children in situ and to make their practices the object of analysis. Based on selected sections of ethnographic protocols, peer interactions among the children are analyzed and thus insights into their play arrangements are elaborated regarding child participation in terms of observable possibilities for action but also limitations in relation to them.... view less
