Argumente für die Erneuerung der anthropologischen Grundlagen der Psychologie

Abstract

Die Bedeutung der philosophischen Anthropologie für die Erneuerung der Psychologie liegt darin, daß sie im Durchgang durch die Wissenschaften einen verselbständigten Reflexionsschritt auf die in Anspruch genommenen biologischen Grundlagen und normativen Gehalte durchführt. Dabei kann heute weder auf eine ursprüngliche Natur noch auf das Leitbild des autonomen Menschen zurückgegriffen werden. Vielmehr muß nach den katastrophalen historischen Erfahrungen mit der Einseitigkeit szientistischer Fortschrittsprogramme Natur in ihrer Zielintentionalität ernst genommen und an die Stelle des autonomen Menschen das Leitbild des souveränen Menschen gesetzt werden. Im Unterschied zur nomologischen Psychologie, die als akademische "Subjektivitätsverbrennungsanlage" nach wie vor durch mangelhafte implizite "Menschenbilder" gekennzeichnet ist, will die diskursive Psychologie eine Wissenschaft sein, die endlich auch uns selbst als Fremde für die anderen berücksichtigt. Den Mittelpunkt dieser neuen Erkenntnishaltung bildet die Empathie, die das Fremde als das eigene Fremde zu begreifen anleitet und es nicht auf Identität reduziert. Die Grenzen der diskursiven Psychologie liegen dann einerseits in der "Materialität der Kommunikation", andererseits in der "Unhintergehbarkeit des Individuellen".

Presents arguments for a renewed focus on the anthropological foundations of psychology. The significance of philosophical anthropology for a renewal of psychology is seen in the fact that in its passage through the sciences it pauses to reflect on the biological and normative foundations it uses. Today one cannot fall back on either the concept of original nature or that of the autonomous person. As a result of catastrophic historical experiences with the one-sidedness of scientistic programs for progress, it is necessary to take the goal intentionality of nature seriously and to replace the image of the autonomous person with that of the masterful person. In contrast to nomological psychology, the aim of discursive psychology is to be a science that finally takes into account that a person is the stranger for others. The cornerstone of this new approach is empathy, which helps to conceive of the "otherness" as one's own otherness and does not reduce it to identity. The limitations of discursive psychology are also discussed.
