The national electricity sector is confronted with many challenges such as increasing energy demand, high external dependency, and environmental protection. Thus, Morocco has opted for a new strategy allowing the adoption of sustainable technologies on a large scale. The objective is to diversify the electricity mix to improve the security of supply.
