Die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Modell der fuzzy-culture erfolgt sowohl differenztheoretisch als auch hinsichtlich der praktischen Eignung des Modells, exemplifiziert im Rahmen der Vermittlung interkultureller Kompetenzen in der öffentlichen Verwaltung. This paper critically discusses Jürgen Bolten's proposal to model the concept of culture in terms of a fuzzy culture in order to explore interculturality. The critical examination of the fuzzy-culture model is carried out both in terms of difference theory and in terms of the practical suitability of the model, exemplified in the context of teaching intercultural competencies in public administration.
