Die vorliegende Studie erfasst Merkmale guter Vorlesungen anhand einer großen Stichprobe in Deutschland und vergleicht die Einschätzungen Studierender (n = 1694) und Dozierender (n = 808) einerseits sowie zwischen verschiedenen Fachkulturen andererseits. Die offenen Angaben wurden mithilfe einer Inhaltsanalyse zehn distinkten Kategorien zugeordnet. Es zeigte sich, dass Studierende im Vergleich zu Dozierenden mehr Wert auf die Lernatmosphäre legen und Dozierenden strukturierte Vorlesungsinhalte wichtiger sind. Auch zwischen den Fachkulturen stellten sich Differenzen heraus, wobei beispielsweise die Agrar- und Forstwirtschaften im Vergleich zu den Kulturwissenschaften mehr als doppelt so häufig die Begeisterungsfähigkeit der Dozierenden als Qualitätsmerkmal nennen. The present study aims at identifying features of good lectures in Germany in order to compare students' (n = 1694) and lecturers' (n = 808) opinions as well as examining differences between disciplinary cultures. The open answers were classified into ten distinct categories based on a content analysis. It was found that students put more value on the learning atmosphere, whereas lecturers attach more importance to structured lecture content. Differences also emerged between disciplinary cultures; for example, in agriculture and forestry lecturers' enthusiasm is mentioned more than twice as often as in cultural sciences. The findings are not only relevant for lecturers, who ought to shift their focus in their lectures, but also for the didactic practice in higher education.... view less
