Decoding the Disciplines is a process aiming at making accessible to students disciplinary ways of thinking and acting and by that fostering their success in learning. Decoding recognizes that such ways of thinking and acting are often implicit and due to that might function as bottlenecks to students' learning. Decoding the Disciplines ist ein Prozess mit dem vorrangigen Ziel, Studierenden disziplinspezifisches Denken und Handeln besser zugänglich zu machen und damit deren Lernprozess zu fördern. Dem Prozess geht die Einsicht voraus, dass disziplinspezifische Denk- und Handlungsmuster häufig implizit sind und daher die Lernprozesse von Studierenden erschweren. Die Entschlüsselung dieser Muster ist ein zentrales Augenmerk des Prozesses und oft auch das besondere Interesse der Beteiligten.
