Flipped Werkstätten sind eine praxisorientierte Alternative zur input-zentrierten Wissensvermittlung, die an den meisten Hochschulen noch in den klassischen drei Veranstaltungsformen Vorlesung, Seminar und Übung stattfindet. Mit der Einführung des Werkstattmodells "Informatik I-Programmierung" und in der gezielten Kombination aus geflippten Online- und Offlinewerkstätten werden Studierende trotz unterschiedlichen Wissensstands und Studienschwerpunkts zu aktiven Gestalter:innen des Moduls und damit ihres eigenen Lernprozesses. Das Konzept der geflippten Werkstatt schafft mehr Raum für Interaktion, ganzheitliches Denken und lenkt den Blick auf studentische Kompetenzen. A flipped workshop is an excellent alternative teaching format to the old fashioned input and teacher driven way of delivering knowledge at Higher Education institutions. It could replace the classic three-way division of lectures, seminars and tutorials as it offers more applied learning and enhances the students' practical experience. Thus, it deliberately combines flipped online and offline sequences so students with a range of knowledge and research interests actively design the module and thereby their own learning process.
