In 2018, activists in the Identitarian Movement initiated the '#120 Decibels' campaign and then - delimiting itself from the '#MeToo' campaign - addressed the issue of a homicide in Kandel as an instance of violence carried out on 'German' women by 'migrant' men. This study examines whether the '#120 Decibels' campaign of the 'Identitarian Movement' spawns a specific form of right-wing antisexism or whether the anti-feminism in the extreme-right völkisch movement is still predominant. It also analyses whether the leading media in Germany provide points of contact, overlapping with right-wing populist discourse strategies when dealing with discourse interconnections of gender, migration and criminality. A further question is whether the leading media ethnicize sexism and how they deal with the ethnicizations addressed by the extreme right. In order to answer these questions, various discourse analyses were conducted of articles relating to various events published both by a variety of leading media in Germany and by the extreme right.... view less
