Formale Bildung entscheidet wesentlich über die Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft. Befunde zur Bildungsbenachteiligung von Kindern und Jugendlichen, die in und mit Hilfen zur Erziehung leben, bilden den Ausgangspunkt des Projektes SchulBildung in den Hilfen zur Erziehung. In diesem wurde der schulbildungsbezogene Alltag von Heimerziehung und Sozialpädagogischer Familienhilfe ethnographisch und in Gruppendiskussionen mit Fachkräften erforscht. Der Bericht fokussiert Passungsverhältnisse zwischen den Hilfen zur Erziehung, Familie und Schule anhand der Zusammenarbeit mit Eltern, der Hausaufgabenbearbeitung, schulischer Übergänge sowie der Kooperation von Hilfen zur Erziehung mit Schulen. Bilanziert wird zum einen eine Kultur des Mangels bezüglich der die Schulbildung unterstützenden Kapitalien in den Hilfen zur Erziehung. Formal education has strong impact on participation in society. Results on educational inequality of children and young people living in and with residential care are the point of departure of the project. This project examined the everyday life in residential care that is related to school education and to social and educational family support ethnographically and on the basis of group discussions with professionals. The report focuses on relations of fitting between childraising care, family and school with respect to the cooperation with parents, doing of homework, school transitions and cooperation between childraising care and schools. On the one hand it can be concluded that there is a culture of scarcity regarding different forms of capital that support school education in the context of childraising care. On the other hand, those mechanisms of the school system that foster inequality are identified which take effect on children and young people in childraising care.... view less
