abstract = {Der Beitrag fasst Ergebnisse und Erkenntnisse einer Studie zusammen, in deren Rahmen unter Anwendung partizipativer Forschungsmethoden das Engagement von Jugendlichen in den Slums von Nairobi als erstarkende Zivilgesellschaft sowie deren Beitrag zu einer räumlichen Transformation auf Stadtteilebene erforscht wurde.The paper shows examples for youth led development in the slums of Nairobi by presenting results of a research project using hermeneutic photography as participative method. The activities of the youth contribute to a spatial transformation of the township.},
