Die universitäre Wissenschaft ist wie auch andere Beschäftigungsbereiche international im Wandel begriffen. Allein erwerbsbezogene Perspektiven reichen nicht hin, diese Entwicklungen zu erforschen. Sie lassen sich erst, so argumentiert der Beitrag, im Zusammenhang mit der weiteren gesellschaftlichen Arbeitsteilung, insbesondere in und zwischen Erwerbssphäre, Privathaushalt und Sozialstaat, und den darin eingelassenen sozialen Ungleichheiten angemessen in den Blick nehmen. Die Analyse alltäglicher und biografischer Arbeitsarrangements wird als ein Weg herausgearbeitet, dies für den Wandel der Wissenschaft, aber auch für andere Felder sozial- und zeitdiagnostisch weiterführend zu verfolgen.... view less

Science as well as other fields of occupation are internationally changing. Perspectives, which only focus paid work, are not sufficient to analyze these developments. The paper argues that they have to be considered in the context of the wider societal division of labour, especially the configuration of paid and unpaid work in and between occupation, private household and welfare state, and their inherent social inequalities.
