This paper analyzes the reception of Louis Althusser by communist intellectuals between the late 1960s and the mid-1970s. In this regard, we note that Althusserian Marxism was grasped as both a singular exercise in rereading Marx and a type of theoretical work that sustained the Maoist criticism of official communism. Likewise, we show that, although there was a frontal rejection of antihumanist notions, some Althusserian theses were incorporated into the theoretical discourse of the party in the struggle against other currents of contemporary thought.... view less

Este trabajo analiza la recepción de Louis Althusser por parte de intelectuales comunistas entre fines de los 1960 y mediados de los 1970. Al respecto, constatamos que el marxismo althusseriano fue captado tanto como un singular ejercicio de relectura de Marx como un tipo de trabajo teórico que sustentaba la crítica maoísta al comunismo oficial. Asimismo, evidenciamos que, si bien existió un rechazo frontal de las nociones antihumanistas, algunas tesis althusserianas fueron incorporadas al discurso teórico del partido en el combate contra otras corrientes de pensamiento contemporáneas.... view less
