(Autorenreferat)... view less

'This article is based on the assumption that globalisation leads to a reconfiguration of national societal conflicts. This thesis is analysed by exploring changes in party competition in Austria from 1975 to 2002. The parties' positions are derived from a quantitative content analysis of newspaper articles on election campaigns and - using the method of Multidimensional Scaling - subsequently represented in a political space. The analysis shows the changes of party competition and the parties' political offers for winners and losers of globalisation.' (author's abstract)... view less
