abstract = {According to Alasdair MacIntyre, there are three problems that pervade most contemporary political struggles and which have not been given sufficient attention: a) there is a conceptual incommensurability of the adverse arguments in the debates; b) the ongoing arguments represent impersonal rational arguments; c) the conceptually distinct premises of the used arguments have a great diversity of historical origins. From these three settings and their consequences, we will apply MacIntyre's critical reasoning to a specific set of conflicting arguments in the field of multiculturalism. Our aim is to explore the different conceptions and principles that underlie the positions seen and also to make a balance on the communitarian justification for a multicultural political model.},
