The article presents as a principle of its foundation the possibility of understanding Plato's philosophy as knowing that he intends, above all, the formation and transformation of the very being of man, namely, his soul (psyché) through a therapeutic process applied on them. In this sense, it will be on the basis of the interpretive proposal found in the works of the french hellenist, Pierre Hadot, about ancient philosophy, that it will be inferred that in Plato there is a therapy of psyche, which is grounded and revealed in a necessarily triadic way: Self-care, self-knowledge and self-control, here termed "spiritual exercises," this triad, would characterize Platonic philosophy as a way of life, in other words, a proposal to be comprehensive that integrates theoría and práxis. Therefore we consider the existence of two clear objectives in philosophy as a therapy of psyché that are juxtaposed: to offer philosophical-spiritual formation to psyché and to prepare to bíos politiké (political life).... weniger
