Este artículo hace una revisión de los enfoques y modelos teóricos de la semiología que han aportado conceptos especialmente útiles para el análisis de la comunicación visual, particularmente aquéllos avanzados por Metz. Según el autor, la semiología intentó en un primer momento disociar el documento visual del mundo de la analogía y, en la actualidad, se propone identificar al responsable de la comunicación narrativa. The árdele revises flrst the theoretical approaches and models which have advanced concepts especially useful for analysing visual communication, in particular those advanced by Metz. According to the author, at the beginning semiology aimed at dissociating the visual document of the world from the analogy and at present it attempts to identify the responsible of narrative communication.
