Este artículo busca adecuar el modelo teórico Panebianco al estudio de un partido como el PRI. El autor destaca las fuentes intelectuales de Panebianco y explícita los elementos centrales de este modelo para analizar el sistema organizativo del partido político: fundación, institucionalización, coalición dominante, espacios de poder y otros. Al tiempo que hace una presentación del modelo de Panebianco, el autor analiza de manera paralela al Partido Revolucionario Institucional. El texto concluye señalando que el modelo Panebianco es útil para el estudio de un partido hegemónico como el mencionado, y que el análisis de su sistema organizativo esclarece el papel decisivo que juega este partido en el régimen político mexicano.... view less

This article intends to adequate the theoretical model of Panebianco to the study of a party like the PRI. The author underlines the intellectual sources of Panebianco and details the central elements of this model to analyze the system of organization of the political party: foundation, institutionalization, dominant coalition, spaces of power, and otheré. AJ the same time that he makes a presentation of the Panebianco model, the author analyzes-in a parallel manner the Partido Revolucionario Institucional. The text concludes pointing out that the Panebianco model is useful for the study of a hegemonic party such as the mentioned one, and that the analysis of it’s organizative system clarifies the decisive rol that this party plays in the Mexican political regime.... view less
