Este ensayo tiene como objetivo principal plantear los problemas ligados a la adopción de la autonomía territorial como el modelo de territorialidad política capaz de satisfacer las demandas de grupos étnicos culturalmente diferenciados y, a la vez, salvaguardar la soberanía del Estado-nación. Se aborda el análisis de la "colonialidad del poder" y se cuestiona hasta qué punto las estrategias indígenas de autonomía territorial luchan contra ella. De manera especial se estudiarán las demandas de autonomía territorial planteadas por las organizaciones indígenas en México, contrastándolas con algunas otras experiencias en Norteamérica y el Pacífico.... view less

The main objective of this essay is to describe the problems linked to the adoption of territorial autonomy as the model of political territoriality that could satisfy the demands of ethnic groups that are culturally differentiated and, simultaneously, safeguard the sovereignty of the Nation-State. It deals also with the analysis of the "coloniality of power", and the relevance of the indigenous strategies of territorial autonomy in the fight against it. The demands of territorial autonomy of the organizations of indigenous peoples in Mexico will be particularly studied, contrasting them with some other experiences in North America and the Pacific region.... view less
